Looking for a place to shoot

I used to shoot in a friends yard at safe berms he had set up. But since he passed away that hasn't been an option so I am looking for a good safe place to shoot where I will not have people calling the police all the time. I'm looking for a gun club - ideally with an indoor range for hand guns. Are there any members of such clubs here who could make some recommendations and perhaps act as a sponsor?

I know there is a club in Plaistow but there is never anyone there when I have stopped by.
